The last thirty years have flown by. For most of the time I was a full time wife and mom. Now our two sons are grown, so I am now a full time wife. Mark and I married in 1974 and we will be married thirty years this coming October.

I thoroughly enjoyed being a mom and all that involved. Helping out in classes, going to water polo games and towards the end to School Board meetings. Being creative with activities during the summer time, going to the beach was one of our favorite things to do.

Our oldest son graduated with a bachelors degree from Cal State Fullerton and our youngest graduated from the Airforce Academy and is now a First Lieutenant in the Air Force. Mark and I enjoyed going out to Colorado for Parents weekend. Now both of our sons, and their wives, have made us grandparents. It is odd to be 'that' old.

I have done many things these past years, one of them is teaching myself how to maneuver around on a computer, I enjoy learning. I enjoy reading . . . a lot. My favorite author right now is George MacDonald. I am also learning more about garden design. I like to pull weeds and experiment with how to arrange plants so that I enjoy the way the yard looks. The latest challenge has been to learn how to use an embroidery machine. IT is computerized and there is a proper way to use it. . . I usually learn by trying things first and when it doesn't work, then I read the instruction manual. I am taking classes, so that helps too. I like to sew and have done allot of garment sewing over the past years, now with grand daughters I have more reason to sew!!

I have also learned how to 'do' research. My husband is an engineer and he is always looking into new things, he has taught me, when you get a "no," just ask the question in a different way, or ask to talk to someone else. At first I did not like researching new things, but now I like the challenge, especially if it is something that I like.

Well, all of you, who are going to the reunion, have a great time !! at this time, we have another commitment to go to, on that Saturday . So I will miss meeting all of you. Maybe I will see you at the 60 year reunion???
