30 years, let's see.......
When I left Heritage I was most concerned with surfing and
spending time with pretty girls.
Hey! So nothing has changed!

Panama - 2003
Well, OK, so there is some grey showing now.
But I'm pretty much the same kid as before.
I was just over visiting Mark and Carey Vandruff in Tustin
a few weeks back. We get together and surf at least once or twice
a year. I took my boat to Lake Havasu last month to visit with
Art Diemer and his family. His kids call me Uncle Doug. His sister
Lynn and her husband were there. Heritage has had a lasting impact
and cemented some life long friendships for many of us.
For a living these days I'm a Project Manager for Southern
California Edison. I have undergrounding projects in Orange County
and the San Gabriel Valley. I never really got out of school and
am still taking classes at UCI. I guess I have a thing for degrees
and certifications.
For fun I surf, waterski, and surf some more.
For real fun, I've taken to surfing Latin America
to avoid the crowds. Mexico, Panama, and El Salvador have
made for great adventures.

My kids are incredible, way more gifted and well behaved than
their father.
Danny (17): #1 Student (senior) at San Clemente High. Straight
A's all his life, 1560 SAT score, Eagle Scout, lead trumpet
in jazz band, marching band, pit orchestra, etc.....
Karli (15): Straight A's all her life, Concert Master (lead violin) in
the orchestra at San Clemente High, star tennis player, etc........
I don't know how it happened, the good genes must skip a generation!
My wife has tolerated me for 20 years. So she must be an angel!
There have been lots of adventures and experiences over the
years that will be fun to talk about at the reunion.
See you there!
Doug
