After graduating I moved to Abilene, Texas
and received my Bachelor's in Education. After graduation
from college, I moved to Hawaii and taught for Mr. Frank
Martens ( our previous principal at Heritage) for many years-
I loved living in Hawaii and reluctantly returned to Southern
California (San Juan Capistrano) when my father became ill.
I met my husband when I returned and we married in 1986.
We have adopted two children from Korea, Kyle (14) and Macie
(12). I have continued teaching and have just completed
my 25th year. I can hardly believe I'm looking at (and planning
!!) retirement.
I have been teaching Special Education since returning
from Hawaii- my students are multiply-handicapped- I love
this field and God has provided a ministry at school as
well as a passion in my life. I am also teaching student
teachers at a local University about special education students
in their regular ed classes- this is very fun for me and
it really keeps me on my toes mentally.
I love being a wife and mother- but my other love is my
horses. I've been training and enjoying our Arabians-- It's
that upbringing in San Juan--
I look forward to seeing everyone at the reunion--. Hope
I can recognize you all !!
